History
Louis Blériot was the first man to fly across the English Channel.
Originally from Cambrai, Louis Blériot was a manufacturer of lanterns for automobiles, airplanes, motorcycles, and sand yachts, as well as a pioneering pilot and pioneer of French aviation.
An engineer from École Centrale Paris, he has filed more than 100 patents.
He flew for the first time in 1907 in an airplane of his own design, and in 1909, he obtained his pilot’s license.
Between 1905 and 1909, he produced 11 prototypes, including the famous Blériot XI, with which he became the first person to fly across the English Channel on July 25, 1909.
The bedroom
This “box” located on the first floor has an aviation theme, with a magnificent mural depicting Louis Blériot’s crossing of the English Channel. It has the unique feature of being able to be equipped with two separate beds, each measuring 35 x 74 inches, or a double bed measuring 71 x 74 inches. The choice is yours! Of course, it has its own private bathroom equipped with a large modern walk-in shower, an oil can-shaped sink, and a separate toilet.
The room overlooks our courtyard, so you can relax and read in peace while sitting on the traveler’s beanbags and helping yourself to the kettle, tea, and coffee.
Of course, the desk, flat-screen TV, and unlimited WiFi connection all contribute to the modern comfort of your room.
This room can be connected to the “Lady Hamilton” room to become a family room.
